Verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV)

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

Song Of The Day

Bible Commentary

1 Corinthians 16:13 is a Bible Verse where the Apostle Paul sums up his entire message to the church in few, but very powerful words.

Paul was a great teacher with a unique and fascinating background. He called himself the “chief sinner”. He was stunned that Christ would choose him to proclaim the Gospel to the Gentiles, since he had persecuted Christians and even put some to death.

Jesus Christ introduced Himself to Paul in a very special way on the road to Damascus. (Acts 9) Because of this, Paul knew the great love and tender mercy of God personally.

After Paul’s conversion, he was never the same. In fact, before he met Christ his name was Saul, and afterwards he became known as Paul.

Because of his brutal reputation, Christians were wary of Paul. They knew he was a man of violence and oppression toward the church, and they steered clear of him.

Joshua1-9

Though Christ anointed Paul with a very special and honored calling, it was a very difficult one. He had to wade through the rough waters of convincing people that Christ, Whom he had publicly cast off, had called him to preach the gospel.

Who would believe him? Who would even listen to him? How could he fulfill the calling God had for him?

Have you ever felt like that? You’re pretty sure what God wants you to do, but you have no idea how it could possibly happen? You don’t see a way.
