Lord Jesus, thank You for all that You have endured for us. Thank You for Your courage and the deep devotion of love You displayed toward us upon the cross. There is no greater love than that. Lord, we know the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Help us to resist him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9), standing firm in Your undying love for us, and standing firm in Your courage and strength. Thank You for Your promise to restore us, to make us strong, firm and steadfast. We long for a permanent strength, a permanent position of victory, and most of all a permanent intimacy with You, our Savior—so that we never feel alone, lost, dismayed or discouraged, but instead strong, firm and steadfast. And with those blessings, we can attract others to Your saving grace. The God of grace has called us to the eternal glory in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 5:10). Help us to live in that eternal glory in the righteousness of Christ here and now, for Your Great Name’s sake and for the sake of others, Lord. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
