Psalm27.4HouseOfTheLord

Lord, thank You for home. Just like coming home from being away for an extended period of time, we welcome the security and comfort of dwelling in the house of the Lord. It is not the things in our home, or the structure itself that makes our home valuable. It is the light of Your Presence within it that gives us comfort and a sense of well-being. There is no place like home, not because of the familiarity of what we have or where we live, but because of our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is You Who makes a house a home—Your mercy and friendship, Your provision, Your peace and understanding, Your strength and power, and most importantly Your willingness to love us unconditionally. Help us to see these attributes in our family members and friends. Help us to see Your attributes in those outside of home—at work, school and the marketplace, because seeing You in others is the beauty of the Lord. Because of the power of Your Holy Spirit, Your Presence dwells everywhere so that wherever we are, we can be at home with You, Lord. Your Presence goes with us always (Matthew 28:20). What an amazing God You are. How wonderful are Your ways. How faithful is Your love. We praise You, Father. We thank You, Lord Jesus for it’s in Your Name we pray. Amen.

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.  Psalm 27:4 NASB
