Dear Lord, thank You for sending Your Son that we might know what love really is. At the very core, it is sacrificing the best you have for the good of others. Love is so much more than this, and we ask You to remove the dimness of our eyesight—in every way—so that we might see, hear and understand Your Perfect Love. You love each of us in a very personal way, giving us each unique gifts and talents to use for the good of Your Kingdom—for the good of others. In this, You manifest Your love continually to us and through us, and we thank You for that. You have dealt bountifully with us, and we praise Your Mighty Name, Lord. In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray. Amen.

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.  1 John 4:9 ESV
