Father, we acknowledge that You are in all the places we dwell—everywhere we are and everywhere we go. You are an ever present help and refuge for us. And because You are always available as our safe hiding place, we ask that You help us surrender our tendency and temptation to go it alone, or do it on our own. Help us not to engage the enemy, but to be aware of his subtle maneuvers and simply ask You, Father, for help. We only need to surrender our ways for Your ways. Our fight is Your fight, and You have already won it. You fought it for us, so we surrender the fight for faith in Your perfect work. The cross. Because we are in Christ, the cross is also our perfect work and refuge. We rest in You and trust You to bring it to pass according to Your perfect will and way. In Jesus’ Name. Amen and amen.
