Deuteronomy 30:5 (NKJV)

Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land
which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it.
He will prosper you and multiply you
more than your fathers.

Unlocking the Truth - Nothing is Lost in Christ

Long ago, our ancestors (our fathers) went in and possessed the Promised Land. Joshua led the children of Israel into war with those who were currently living in the place the Lord had promised His people.

With the Lord’s providential hand, Joshua and the people of God prevailed and drove out the previous tenants and inherited the promise. It was a land flowing with milk and honey, abundant and prosperous.

That is what God promises us—the land our fathers possessed. This land is free from any kind of oppression, spiritual, financial or otherwise. It is a place of abundance and prosperity, not only in our physical world, but also in our minds, thoughts and feelings (our soul).

In order to achieve abundance and prosperity in our physical existence, we need to occupy the spiritual territory that we were driven out of. Remember when God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden?

We have been granted access back to that place of peace and serenity through the blood of Jesus Christ, but we’ve got to kick the devil out of it, plain and simple.

Whatever trials we experience in life are battles of the soul--battles in the spiritual that manifest in the physical. The results of those battles are dependent upon our level of faith. Do we overcome by standing firm in the truth by faith, or do we succumb to the sounds (and feelings) of defeat and give up?

The power of deception is very strong and very sticky. Once we go down that road, it can be very difficult to get back on track, but remember, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6) Nothing is lost in Him and furthermore, nobody is lost in Him.

Deuteronomy 30:5 says, “…the Lord your God will bring you to the land…” So when we don’t know which way is up, we can trust the saving hand of His mercy, grace and truth.

As we follow Jesus Christ into the land to possess it, let’s joyfully thank God for the Kingdom, which He delights in giving to His inheritance--His people. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10)

Study the Bible verse of Deuteronomy 30:5, and enjoy the blessing of prosperity in the land the Lord your God gives you to possess.
