…current station is in life, we each have a gift that can inspire others. Whether we realize it or not, we are a leader in some capacity or another.

We must ask God for opportunities for His brightness to break out of us, as He continues to cultivate leadership qualities within us where we are.

It’s not our actual vocation or position that fulfills us. Even if we have made it to the top in our career or become a “Who’s Who”, for example, we might wonder why we’re still not permanently satisfied. We see it in the lives of the famous all the time. Riches and fame are not the answer to lasting contentment and happiness.

The only complete and lasting fulfillment is in Jesus Christ. He is the One Who frees us from obscurity, from being inconspicuous, hidden or not well known–the very meanings of “darkness”. He can set us free from the dark, no matter where we are in life.

He is the Light of life, as John 8:12 says.

The Light in our Gifts

Let’s ask Him to reveal our gifts. It is in the gifts He has given to us that the Light appears–in our leadership qualities. That’s where we’re an inspiration to others, and it’s where we find joy and fulfillment, because that’s where Jesus is, where the Light shines through.

Jesus is the brightness, power and purpose inside us. Only together with Christ do we emerge from obscurity, emptiness, and darkness. He promised to take up residence in us when we called on His Name and accepted His gift of the cross.

We have amazing power within us. Left uncultivated or neglected, it remains dormant or unseen. But when it is continually tapped by our hope and faith—our belief—and perseverance, that bright light begins to emerge. It may be suddenly or gradually, but it does emerge.

All the difficulties and hardships we have experienced have been a training ground of helping us accept His intended Kingdom order—He is first; we are second.

Together, and only in that order, are we Champions. Together, only in that order will the radiant Light of Jesus Christ shine through us for the world to see.

Study the Bible verse of John 8:12 to renew your hope with the inspiration of Jesus Christ as the Light within you.
