Malachi 2:14 (NASB)

has been a witness between you and the wife
of your youth, against whom you have dealt
treacherously, though she is your companion
and your wife by covenant.

Unlocking the Truth - See Christ in Her

Malachi 2:14 uses the word, “treacherously,”which in Hebrew means: to cover; to act covertly, to pillage, deal deceitfully, offend, transgress, unfaithful. Webster’s defines it like this: disloyal, untrustworthy or insecure.

Men, a woman’s sense of security comes from your faithfulness or loyalty to her. Are you trustworthy to hold her in higher esteem than your work, your other relationships, and your side of the family? Nothing will offend a woman more than if you place someone or something above her.

When you are faithful to keep her first in your life (right after God), it will be easy for her to align with you, to respect you and love you the way you want to be loved.

None of us is perfect, but we are to train our eyes to see Christ in our spouse. When we do that, it is easy to be thankful for those qualities in them we fell in love with.

ThanksforBeautifulLife

Thankfulness is like a key that unlocks the beauty of love that may have been hidden away. It’s still there, but it must be cultivated and drawn out.

What are you thankful for in your spouse?

Study the Bible verse of Malachi 2:14, and learn to nourish and cherish your spouse, just as Christ also does the church.
