God’s Family

Look at what David said in Psalm 5:7, “But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house.” Some Hebrew meanings of “house” are: house, family, home, palace, temple.

God made His house and His family accessible to us. He is our Heavenly Father, and He sent His Son Jesus Christ to bridge the gap between us and restore our relationship with Him.

Through Jesus Christ, God’s anger and wrath are appeased, and He is pleased with us. He welcomes us into His house to be restored back to His family, free from the darkness of this world.

Jesus Christ is the way.

Look at the last part of Psalm 5:7, “At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.”

Without yielding to His sovereignty, there is no entrance. As we humble ourselves before Him in acceptance of Christ our Saviour, He looks upon us and sees our resemblance to Jesus.

Just like the saying that we become like those we spend time with, living close to Jesus will cause us to take on His beauty and brightness, and we will begin to look more like our Brother and our Heavenly Father.

No matter how messed up or how broken our family is right now, it can be whole, us and our family. Imagine your life in the house of God, united with the family of God, what it’s like in His home.

By His abundant lovingkindness and tender mercies, we can enter there and enjoy the peace, love and joy of the Father in His home. Jesus made the way. With God, all things are possible (Mark 9:23).

Study the Bible verse of Psalm 5:7, and hear the welcoming sound of God calling you into His house and His family, here on earth.
