Verse Of The Day

Zechariah 2:13 (NASB)

“Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord;
for He is aroused from His holy habitation.”

Bible Commentary

Zechariah 2:13 is a stirring Bible verse from the Old Testament, which sounds like a great announcement from on High.

Every word of the Bible is for every one of us. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

There is something to be grasped, learned and absorbed from every line of God’s Word. This thrilling verse from Zechariah 2:13 is no different. Let’s dive in.

Have you ever personally felt the overwhelming greatness of God’s Presence? Was it during prayer or at a worship service, or from a special time in a particular place? It’s like you want time to stand still so you can bask in it. It is in these moments we feel compelled to a reverent silence and stillness before the Lord.

SilentPrayer

That’s what the announcement of Zechariah 2:13 is talking about when it says, “Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord…”

There is a time for talking, and there is an unmistakable time for silence, when our words would only muddy the purity of the moment.

Unlocking the Truth - Supernatural Communion

In addition to the request for silence, the Hebrew meaning of silence also means: be still. Just like a class of 1st Graders, we can hear and receive better when we are still and quiet.

Not only that, but we can absorb the pure love of the Lord in these moments by a stance of quiet humility. We can understand what He is giving to us, like a direct line of communication straight from His heart to ours--a supernatural communion.

He delights in His children, and in His bride. We can get a grasp of the power of His love for us in these moments, and we yearn for more of Him.

Zechariah 2:13 says, “Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord; for He is aroused from His holy habitation.”

This is a direct indication that the Lord is about to make Himself known to us. “Aroused” is defined as: to awaken, as from sleep; to stir to action; to evoke.

I believe the Lord has been stirred to action and evoked by the turmoil on the earth during these end times. He answers the prayers of His saints, and He promises to act.

Jesus Christ says in John 14:3 says, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”

He comes quickly to rescue His bride and receive us to Himself, so that we can be where He is, and enjoy everlasting life together with Him.

Study the Bible verse of Zechariah 2:13, remember those special quiet and intimate moments you’ve enjoyed in the Lord’s Presence, and see that He is coming soon to gather us, so we can be with Him forever.
